O.V.Sipacheva's scientific results are connected with rather complicated problems of describing the structure and studying properties of free topological groups over Tychonoff spaces, and with spaces of continuous functions. She proved, for example, that the free topological group of a zero-dimensional (in the sense of dim) space is zero-dimensional in the sense of ind. The following results are also due to Sipacheva: the free topological group over a stratifiable space is itself stratifiable; the free topological group over a Dieudonné complete space is complete in the sense of Raikov (and Weil). O.V.Sipacheva constructed an example of a Lindelöf group with continual Souslin number. Let us mention the following interesting result of O.V.Sipacheva in -theory: if is a Lindelöf space then every compact subspace of which is a continuous image of a linearly ordered space has countable tightness and is -monolithic. She constructed, together with P.J.Szeptycki and W.Just, examples of spaces such that is not normal but all closed discrete subspaces of are countable.
